چکیده
1,1?-Biphenyl-3,3?,4,4?-tetracarboxylic acid dianhydride has been reacted with uranyl nitrate under solvo-hydrothermal conditions and in the presence of different counterions to give three complexes varying periodicity. [Co(en)3]- [UO2(bptc)(HCOO)] ? 2.5H2O (1) crystallizes as a monoperiodic coordination polymer which bptc4? ligand is exclusively bound through formation two 7-membered chelate rings. The [Co(en)3]3+ counterion essentially hydrogen bond donor, forming 15 bonds carboxylate water oxygen atoms. In [H2NMe2]2[UO2(bptc)] 0.5H2O (2), half forms ring, other bridges uranium atoms, resulting diperiodic network hcb topology, H2NMe2+ being located between undulating sheets. [PPh4]4[(UO2)4(bptc)3] 6H2O (3) contains mixture ligands either four 4-membered or rings, latter further bridging, gives triperiodic framework displaying large channels, each rows PPh4+ counterions. These results are compared those previous studies this ligand, similar phthalate ion, particular relation ring formation.

The catalytic role of uranyl in formation of polycatechol complexes
To better understand the association of contaminant uranium with natural organic matter (NOM) and the fate of uranium in ground water, spectroscopic studies of uranium complexation with catechol were conducted. Catechol provides a model for ubiquitous functional groups present in NOM. Liquid samples were analyzed using Raman, FTIR, and UV-Vis spectroscopy. Catechol was found to polymerize in pr...
متن کاملUranyl ion coordination with rigid aromatic carboxylates and structural characterization of their complexes.
Uranyl complexes of rigid aromatic carboxylates were synthesized and their solid-state structures characterized by X-ray crystallography. The new ligands create cavities lined with endohedral functions to encapsulate the uranyl ion.
متن کاملsimulation and experimental studies for prediction mineral scale formation in oil field during mixing of injection and formation water
abstract: mineral scaling in oil and gas production equipment is one of the most important problem that occurs while water injection and it has been recognized to be a major operational problem. the incompatibility between injected and formation waters may result in inorganic scale precipitation in the equipment and reservoir and then reduction of oil production rate and water injection rate. ...
Uranyl sequestration: synthesis and structural characterization of uranyl complexes with a tetradentate methylterephthalamide ligand.
Uranyl complexes of a bis(methylterephthalamide) ligand (LH(4)) have been synthesized and characterized by X-ray crystallography. The structure is an unexpected [Me(4)N](8)[L(UO(2))](4) tetramer, formed via coordination of the two MeTAM units of L to two uranyl moieties. Addition of KOH to the tetramer gave the corresponding monomeric uranyl methoxide species [Me(4)N]K(2)[LUO(2)(OMe)].
